Gary was born in a small town in Michigan and has been a resident of Topanga
since 1976. He served in the US Army (USASA/NSA) from 1962 to 1968. He graduated CSULB (B.F.A. Sculpture, Magna Cum Laude) in 1974.
He obtained a Master's degree in Art (Sculpture) in 1976.

He served 5 years on the Board of Directors of the Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council. An avid mountain trails hiker, Gary has worked hard to improve and expand the local mountain trails system. He has served as President of the Topanga Brokers Co-op for 19 years in a row. Since 2001, Gary has been associated with Pritchett-Rapf & Associates Realtors.
Gary's Dutch wife Mariline
is also a Pritchett-Rapf agent. For the last five years, Gary and Mariline have worked together in
real estate as a team.Mariline has a Master's degree in Philosophy and a B.A. in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Utrecht (Netherlands), a Paralegal Certificate from UCLA, and is on the Dean’s Honor List of Santa Monica College for her recent results in Spanish and Computer Applications and Programming.
